I can’t believe it. We moved to another city today. Mom kept saying this would be a “fresh start.” I’m not sure what our old life smelled like, but this city definitely smells like pizza and car fumes. Our new building is tall enough to poke the clouds. Smucky (my dog) was VERY confused. He thought the hallway was outside and tried to pee on the fire extinguisher. Mom said, “Great start, Smucky.”
Our new apartment is smaller. My room is just big enough for my bed and a desk, but the window is huge. It’s my favorite part of the entire apartment. I can see the whole city from it. There’s a playground, a basketball court, lots of traffic, and so many people that my eyes got tired. I can’t wait to go explore our new city in the upcoming days.
One kid rode past on a scooter, no hands. I could never.
Smucky barked at a pigeon the size of a toddler.
The pigeon didn’t even flinch. I think the pigeon would have eaten Smucky for dinner. But I threw a rock at it and it flew off.
City animals are on another level.
